The ODYSSEY Performance ODP-AGM4D is a BCI Group 4D Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) AGM battery for heavy-duty commercial trucks, earth movers, buses, and equipment whose electronics have to stay reliable — telematics, security camera systems, utility lamps, 12V power receptacles, CPAP circuits in sleeper cabs, and refrigerators or coolers that keep drawing after shutdown.
If you are looking for a Group 4D battery around 1300 CCA and 170 Ah (20-hour) with 370 minutes of reserve capacity, the ODP-AGM4D is the current version of the legacy 4D-1300 part number.
Small loads add up: per EnerSys parasitic-draw guidance and TMC RP140A, a combined 5-amp draw over a 60-hour weekend equals a 300 Ah discharge. A weekend sit has little impact, but a week of continuous draw can pull a battery below 10.5 volts, and if that happens routinely, performance and life are impacted. TPPL construction gives the ODP-AGM4D the deep-discharge recovery, fast recharge, and cranking power that duty demands, with up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge per EnerSys published ratings.
Group 4D has no ODYSSEY Extreme option; the ODP-AGM4D is the highest-output battery WCB carries for this group. The ODP-AGM4D is a commercial and heavy-equipment battery and is not positioned for powersport applications.
